School is officially in full swing. Tests and quizzes are being assigned, along with essays, and homework galore. Check this blog once a week to see the upcoming events and important information.
iPads: The majority of students are well adjusted to the iPads. If your child is expressing difficulty or frustrations with the iPad it's important that you let me or his or her teacher know. If the basics of the iPad are causing frustrations (like adding homework to the calendar) then interventions need to be put in place right away. Please don't hesitate to ask. The more kids suffer in silence with the iPad, the more of a detriment it will be to their experience IN the classroom.
All students should be using the CALENDAR function on their iPads to write down their homework assignments. Please encourage this rule at home! The reason why it should be in their calendar is because the teachers share MAJOR events in their calendar simultaneously. That way their daily homework shows up in the SAME place as their major events such as projects, tests, and even field trips. There is no need to have a separate homework app. In fact, if they have a separate homework app it will probably make things even more confusing.
UPDATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS FOR CLUSTERS:

Most of the essay will be written in class. If anyone is struggling please see me or Mr. Hellerstein. Stripes will always have a CCA and map check on Fridays.
